My experience in the insurance industry has taught me that it is essential that we approach each interaction with the intent to establish a long-term relationship. A lot of people view insurance as just a bill until there is a need for it and they don’t have the protection they need. My duty and obligation is to make every effort to prevent that from happening to anyone my agency deals with.

I grew up in Southfield Michigan which is just outside of Detroit. I moved to AZ in 2005 and after 13 years I finally feel comfortable calling it home now! (other than my sports teams, all Detroit!). Being able to protect families, individuals, and businesses while providing career opportunities to people and helping others in the community as my living is a true blessing that I never take for granted.

I love my wife and being a father! My oldest son is almost 2 and his little brother arrived this past May. My father passed away when I was 6 weeks old so I’ve always envisioned being the father I wished I had and now that is my motivation each day. My full name is Walter Joseph Kennedy III and I named my son the IV. I’ve always felt the need to keep the name going since I never met my father. 4.0 is my nickname for my firstborn and that is what prompted me to name my second agency location 4.0 Insurance.

I have 3 dogs and I try to get them to the park on the weekends when the weather permits it. Summer is tough but on hot days they love the pool! We got one of our Dogs (Hank) from a dog rescue called P.A.W.S Fur The Cause AZ and I’ve sponsored several adoption events but I had to pull back because I have a hard time leaving without a dog! We also adopted our 3rd dog Ace from the Pinal County dog pound the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. He has been an amazing addition to the family! We are huge dog rescue supporters and if you’re reading this we encourage you to adopt!:)

My older brother Steve recently began a nonprofit called “Elephant Care Unchained”. He spends several months throughout the year traveling to other countries to help improve the wellbeing of elephants. I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a Hoosier at heart with a new-found love of the Arizona heat! My experience in the insurance industry has been great! Earning people’s trust and establishing a long-lasting relationship with every person I speak with is my goal. Getting to help people understand what they are actually paying for monthly and explaining coverage options that will put them in the best situation possible is key. Most people look at the insurance policy as a bill, I try to explain that it is actually protection against a HUGE bill in the future if you aren’t properly protected.

What excites me most about my job is my relationship with our clients. I love hearing about their growing family or their new house they just purchased. I really enjoy the phone calls and walk-ins from our clients just to chat about life. They make my job worth coming to every day.

I love spending time with my family. I have two boys, a 14-year-old and a 6-year-old and they are my life! Whether we’re swimming in the pool or just hanging out watching Netflix, I love spending time with them.

I do have a guilty pleasure… I love Netflix! I love to binge-watch shows. I am very passionate about pet adoption, and I have adopted all my dogs, Lucy, Chewy, and Zeus. I encourage people to check their local animal shelters before ever buying a dog from a pet store.

I enjoy the thrill of being behind the wheel while racing a beautiful car around the track! Cooking is my real passion! Being in the kitchen is my absolute favorite place to express my creativity!

My family and I love spending time in the water! Sometimes in the pool and other times at the lake! I believe it is important to spend time volunteering and show my son how acts of kindness can change lives for the better.
