Extending Support to those

with ALS in  Our Community

The ALS Association defines amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) as “a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.” When amyotrophic is broken down and translated from the Greek language, it means “no muscle nourishment”. Individuals with ALS usually experience a gradual onset of symptoms that can begin in the muscles that control speech and swallowing or in the hands, arms, legs, or feet. The most common symptoms are, of course, muscle weakness and paralysis.

The ALS Association Arizona Chapter was created nearly 30 years ago with the goal to provide “support and resources for people living with ALS, their caregivers, and loved ones”. They do this by not only educating their community but also by offering a multitude of different programs and resources aimed at finding effective treatments and one day, a cure!

Organizations like the ALS Association Arizona Chapter can hardly do their good work without the support of their community! That’s why our team at The Kennedy Agency is committing to donate $10 on your behalf to them for every recommendation you make to our agency for a no-obligation quote. Together, we can give back to our community!
